Job Description
We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Houston Energy Sector Liaison to join our team in Austin, Texas. This pivotal role involves fostering strong relationships with key stakeholders across the Houston energy ecosystem, including oil & gas companies, renewable energy firms, regulatory bodies, and industry associations. The successful candidate will be responsible for meticulous research, insightful analysis, and the preparation of high-quality written communications, reports, and presentations that articulate our insights and solutions to a diverse audience. This role requires a deep understanding of the energy sector, exceptional written and verbal communication skills, and the ability to translate complex industry dynamics into actionable strategies for our clients.
Key Responsibilities
- Cultivate and maintain robust relationships with executives and decision-makers within the Houston energy sector.
- Conduct comprehensive research and analysis on industry trends, market dynamics, regulatory changes, and competitive landscapes relevant to the Houston energy market.
- Develop and deliver compelling written content, including reports, white papers, proposals, executive summaries, and thought leadership pieces.
- Represent Accenture at industry conferences, seminars, and networking events in Houston and beyond.
- Collaborate with internal teams (consultants, sales, marketing) to identify client needs and align Accenture's capabilities with sector opportunities.
- Provide strategic insights and recommendations to internal stakeholders regarding opportunities and challenges within the Houston energy sector.
- Monitor and report on key performance indicators related to engagement and influence within the target sector.
Required Skills
- Proven experience in the energy sector (oil & gas, renewables, power & utilities) with a focus on the Houston market.
- Exceptional written and verbal communication skills, with a portfolio of professional writing samples.
- Strong analytical and research capabilities, with the ability to synthesize complex information into clear, concise reports.
- Demonstrated ability to build and maintain professional relationships at various levels.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
- Bachelor's degree in Business, Engineering, Economics, Communications, or a related field.
Preferred Qualifications
- Master's degree (MBA, MS) in a relevant discipline.
- Experience in management consulting, business development, or a liaison role within a large corporation.
- Familiarity with data visualization tools and advanced analytical software.
- Existing network within the Houston energy community.
