Job Description
We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated HPLC Chemist – Chromatography Specialist to join our analytical team in Garland, Texas. This role involves hands-on experience with HPLC and other chromatography techniques for the analysis of various samples in a fast-paced laboratory environment. The specialist will be responsible for method development, validation, and routine sample analysis, contributing significantly to our product quality and research initiatives.
Key Responsibilities
- Perform routine and complex analytical tests using HPLC, GC, and other chromatography instruments.
- Develop, optimize, and validate analytical methods for product release and stability studies.
- Interpret and report analytical data accurately and thoroughly, ensuring data integrity.
- Maintain, calibrate, and troubleshoot analytical instrumentation, ensuring optimal performance and minimal downtime.
- Ensure strict compliance with GxP, Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs), and other relevant regulatory guidelines.
- Participate actively in Out-of-Specification (OOS) investigations and root cause analysis to resolve discrepancies.
- Prepare and standardize reagents, solutions, and samples with precision.
- Collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams including R&D, Quality Control, and Manufacturing.
Required Skills
- Proficiency in High-Performance Liquid Chromatography (HPLC) and other chromatography techniques (e.g., GC, LC-MS).
- Strong theoretical and practical understanding of analytical chemistry principles.
- Proven experience with analytical method development and validation.
- Solid knowledge of GxP (GLP, GMP) and other relevant regulatory requirements.
- Excellent data interpretation, analysis, and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to work independently, manage multiple tasks, and thrive in a fast-paced, team-oriented laboratory setting.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
Preferred Qualifications
- Master's degree in Chemistry, Analytical Chemistry, Biochemistry, or a closely related scientific field.
- Prior experience with chromatography data systems such as Empower, Chromeleon, or OpenLab.
- Familiarity with Laboratory Information Management Systems (LIMS).
- Previous work experience in a pharmaceutical, biotechnology, or contract research organization (CRO) industry setting.
