Job Description

Join our team as IKEA Patio Set Support, focusing on unpacking and building patio furniture for our customers. This temporary role is perfect for individuals who are hands-on, meticulous, and enjoy bringing products to life. You will be responsible for ensuring all components are accounted for, assembling furniture according to instructions, and preparing items for display or customer collection, contributing to a positive shopping experience.

Key Responsibilities

  • Accurately unbox and inspect IKEA patio furniture sets upon arrival.
  • Verify all parts and components against product manuals and checklists.
  • Follow detailed assembly instructions to build patio furniture efficiently and correctly.
  • Ensure assembled furniture meets IKEA's quality and safety standards.
  • Organise and clear away packaging materials, maintaining a tidy work area.
  • Assist with moving and positioning assembled items for display or storage.
  • Report any missing parts, damages, or assembly challenges to the supervisor.
  • Adhere to all health and safety guidelines during unpacking and assembly.

Required Skills

  • Excellent practical and manual dexterity skills.
  • Ability to follow detailed written and visual instructions accurately.
  • Strong attention to detail and a methodical approach to tasks.
  • Good physical stamina and ability to lift and move furniture components.
  • Reliable, punctual, and a strong work ethic.

  • Previous experience in furniture assembly or general DIY.
  • Familiarity with IKEA products and assembly processes.
  • Experience in a retail or warehouse environment.
