Job Description
We are seeking a highly motivated and enthusiastic Junior UPS Designer with a strong focus on User Interface (UI) to join our innovative design team in El Paso. In this role, you will contribute to the visual and interactive design of our Uninterruptible Power Supply (UPS) systems’ user interfaces, ensuring intuitive, efficient, and aesthetically pleasing experiences for our customers. This is an excellent opportunity for an entry-level designer to grow their skills within a leading global company.
Key Responsibilities
- Collaborate with senior designers and product managers to translate user needs and business requirements into compelling UI designs for UPS products.
- Develop wireframes, mockups, and interactive prototypes for web, mobile, and embedded interfaces.
- Apply and maintain consistent design patterns, visual styles, and branding guidelines across all UI elements.
- Participate in user research, usability testing, and feedback sessions to inform design iterations.
- Prepare and present design concepts to internal stakeholders, clearly articulating design decisions and rationale.
- Work closely with engineering teams to ensure accurate implementation of UI designs.
- Stay updated on the latest UI trends, tools, and technologies to continuously improve design practices.
Required Skills
- Proficiency in UI design tools such as Figma, Adobe XD, Sketch, or similar.
- Strong understanding of fundamental UI/UX design principles, usability, and accessibility standards.
- Ability to create clean, intuitive, and visually appealing interfaces.
- Excellent communication and presentation skills, with the ability to articulate design choices.
- A portfolio demonstrating UI design projects (can include academic or personal projects).
- Basic understanding of front-end development (HTML/CSS) is a plus.
Preferred Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Graphic Design, Industrial Design, Human-Computer Interaction (HCI), or a related field.
- Familiarity with power management systems or industrial product interfaces.
- Experience with design systems and component libraries.
