Job Description

We are seeking an experienced and highly motivated Lead Bank Teller to join our dynamic team in South Gate, CA. Key Responsibilities

  • Oversee and manage daily teller operations, including cash handling, balancing, and vault management.
  • Provide leadership, guidance, and training to a team of bank tellers, fostering a collaborative and high-performance environment.
  • Ensure accurate and efficient processing of customer transactions, including deposits, withdrawals, loan payments, and cashing checks.
  • Resolve complex customer service issues and inquiries, escalating as necessary to branch management.
  • Monitor compliance with bank policies, procedures, and regulatory requirements.
  • Identify opportunities to cross-sell bank products and services, referring customers to appropriate specialists.
  • Conduct periodic audits and reconciliation of cash drawers and branch assets.
  • Assist branch management with various operational tasks and reporting.
  • Maintain a thorough knowledge of all bank products, services, and digital offerings.
  • Ensure a clean, organized, and secure work environment.

Required Skills

  • Minimum of 3 years of experience as a Bank Teller or similar cash-handling role.
  • Proven leadership ability and experience in guiding or mentoring a team.
  • Excellent cash handling and balancing skills with high accuracy.
  • Strong customer service and interpersonal communication skills.
  • Proficiency in banking software and Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Ability to resolve complex problems and make sound decisions.
  • Demonstrated understanding of banking regulations and compliance.
  • High school diploma or equivalent.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Business, Finance, or a related field.
  • Previous experience in a supervisory or lead role within a financial institution.
  • Bilingual proficiency (English and Spanish) preferred, given the local demographics.
