Job Description
We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) to join our skilled nursing facility team in Wesley Chapel, FL. Key Responsibilities
- Administer medications and treatments as prescribed by physicians, accurately and in a timely manner.
- Monitor and record residents' vital signs, symptoms, and medical information, documenting all observations thoroughly.
- Assist residents with daily living activities, ensuring their comfort and dignity.
- Collaborate with registered nurses, physicians, and other healthcare professionals to develop and implement individualized care plans.
- Provide wound care, catheter care, and other skilled nursing procedures as needed.
- Educate residents and their families on health maintenance and disease prevention.
- Maintain a clean, safe, and organized environment for residents.
- Respond promptly to resident calls and emergencies, providing immediate assistance.
- Adhere to all facility policies, procedures, and regulatory standards.
Required Skills
- Current and unrestricted Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) license in the State of Florida.
- Strong clinical assessment and critical thinking skills.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment.
- Demonstrated compassion and empathy for geriatric patients.
- Proficiency in electronic health record (EHR) systems.
Preferred Qualifications
- Minimum of 1 year of experience as an LPN in a skilled nursing facility or long-term care setting.
- Experience with geriatric care and dementia patients.
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
