Job Description
As an Occupational Aide at the UPS Wellness Center in Pasco, WA, you will play a crucial role in supporting the health and safety programs for our employees. This entry-level to mid-level position involves assisting with administrative tasks, maintaining medical records, coordinating appointments, and supporting occupational health screenings. You will work closely with medical professionals to ensure a smooth and efficient operation of the wellness center, contributing directly to a positive and healthy work environment for all UPS staff.
Key Responsibilities
- Assist with the administration of occupational health programs and services.
- Maintain confidential employee medical records and ensure compliance with privacy regulations (e.g., HIPAA).
- Schedule and coordinate employee appointments for screenings, assessments, and follow-ups.
- Support medical professionals during various health screenings and wellness activities.
- Prepare and organize documentation related to incident reports, workers' compensation claims, and return-to-work programs.
- Ensure the cleanliness and organization of the Wellness Center facilities and supplies.
- Provide excellent customer service and support to all employees utilizing the center.
Required Skills
- High school diploma or GED.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook).
- Strong organizational and communication skills.
- Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information with discretion.
- Basic understanding of medical terminology or willingness to learn.
Preferred Qualifications
- Associate's degree in a health-related field or administrative assistant certificate.
- Previous experience in a medical office, clinic, or occupational health setting.
- CPR and First Aid certification.
- Experience with electronic health records (EHR) systems.
