Job Description
We are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Google Documentation Clerk with an engineering focus to join our remote team. In this role, you will be responsible for managing, organizing, and maintaining critical engineering documentation within Google Workspace platforms (Google Docs, Sheets, Drive). This position requires a strong understanding of documentation best practices, meticulous attention to detail, and the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced engineering environment. You will play a vital role in ensuring that all project documentation is easily accessible, accurate, and compliant with company standards.
Key Responsibilities
- Organize, classify, and maintain a comprehensive repository of engineering documents in Google Drive.
- Implement and enforce documentation standards and version control procedures across all projects.
- Convert various document formats into Google Docs/Sheets, ensuring proper formatting and functionality.
- Collaborate with engineering teams to identify documentation needs and facilitate efficient information flow.
- Perform regular audits of documentation to ensure accuracy, completeness, and adherence to company policies.
- Assist in the creation and editing of technical documentation, reports, and presentations.
- Provide training and support to team members on Google Workspace documentation best practices.
- Manage access permissions and sharing settings for sensitive engineering documents.
- Proactively identify and implement improvements to documentation processes and tools.
Required Skills
- Proficiency in Google Workspace (Docs, Sheets, Drive, Calendar)
- Excellent organizational and time management skills
- Meticulous attention to detail and accuracy
- Strong written and verbal communication skills in English
- Ability to work independently and as part of a remote team
- Basic understanding of engineering documentation principles
Preferred Qualifications
- Associate's or Bachelor's degree in a related field (e.g., Business Administration, Information Management)
- Experience in a technical or engineering environment
