Job Description
Are you a passionate and enthusiastic Junior Hair Stylist ready to take the next step in your career? Toni & Guy Coventry has an exciting opportunity for a talented individual to join our vibrant team. We are looking for someone eager to learn, grow, and contribute to our salon’s reputation for exceptional service and style. This role comes with a chair immediately available, offering a fantastic pathway to build your client base and earn substantial commission. Key Responsibilities
- Perform a wide range of hair services including cutting, styling, blow-drying, and basic colour applications under supervision or independently as skill level allows.
- Provide excellent client consultations, listening attentively to their needs and offering professional advice on styles, treatments, and home care.
- Assist senior stylists with more complex procedures and learn advanced techniques.
- Maintain a clean, organised, and professional workstation and salon environment.
- Manage client bookings, assist with front-of-house duties, and contribute to salon retail sales.
- Participate in ongoing training and development opportunities to enhance skills and stay updated with industry trends.
- Build and maintain strong client relationships, encouraging repeat business and referrals.
Required Skills
- NVQ Level 2 (or equivalent) in Hairdressing.
- Minimum of 12 months practical salon experience beyond training.
- Proficiency in basic cutting, styling, and blow-drying techniques.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- A strong passion for hairdressing and commitment to client satisfaction.
- Ability to work effectively as part of a team.
- Reliable, punctual, and professional demeanour.
Preferred Qualifications
- NVQ Level 3 (or equivalent) in Hairdressing.
- Experience with a diverse range of hair types and textures.
- Knowledge of Redken, L'Oréal, or other premium hair product lines.
- A developing portfolio of your styling work.
