Job Description
We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated ENT Clinic Nurse to provide specialist support within our Ear, Nose, and Throat (ENT) department at our Torrance facility. This is an exciting opportunity for both experienced nurses and entry-level Registered Nurses looking to specialize in ENT care. You will play a crucial role in assisting ENT physicians, performing diagnostic tests, educating patients, and ensuring the smooth operation of our busy clinic. Key Responsibilities
- Assist ENT physicians during examinations, procedures, and minor surgeries.
- Perform and interpret various diagnostic tests, including audiograms, tympanometry, and basic vestibular screenings.
- Prepare and sterilize instruments and equipment for ENT procedures.
- Educate patients and their families on ENT conditions, treatment plans, medication administration, and post-procedure care.
- Manage patient appointments, medical records, and ensure accurate documentation in electronic health records (EHR).
- Provide pre-operative and post-operative care and instruction to patients undergoing ENT surgeries.
- Administer medications, including injections and topical treatments, as prescribed by the physician.
- Respond to patient inquiries and concerns, providing timely and professional nursing advice.
Required Skills
- Current Registered Nurse (RN) license in the state of California.
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced clinical environment.
- Proficiency in electronic health records (EHR) systems.
- Commitment to patient-centered care and empathy for patients.
- Ability to learn and adapt quickly to specialized ENT procedures.
Preferred Qualifications
- Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) degree.
- Previous experience in an ambulatory clinic setting.
- Certification in Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS).
- Familiarity with ENT terminology and common conditions.
