Job Description
We are seeking a meticulous and detail-oriented Master Data Verifier to join our Enterprise Database Management team in Calgary. In this critical role, you will be responsible for ensuring the accuracy, consistency, and integrity of our master data across various enterprise systems. Your expertise will directly contribute to the reliability of our data-driven operations, supporting everything from customer relationship management to financial reporting. This position requires a keen eye for detail, a methodical approach to problem-solving, and a strong understanding of data governance principles.
Key Responsibilities
- Perform daily validation and verification of master data records against defined standards and business rules.
- Identify, investigate, and resolve data discrepancies and inconsistencies, working closely with data owners and stakeholders.
- Execute data quality checks and audits to maintain high levels of data integrity.
- Document data issues, resolutions, and process improvements.
- Collaborate with data stewards, IT, and business units to implement and enforce data governance policies.
- Participate in data migration and integration projects, ensuring data accuracy during transitions.
- Contribute to the continuous improvement of data verification processes and tools.
Required Skills
- Minimum 3 years of experience in data verification, data quality, or master data management.
- Proficiency in data validation tools and techniques.
- Strong analytical skills with an exceptional attention to detail.
- Solid understanding of relational databases and SQL for data querying.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a collaborative team.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel or similar spreadsheet software.
Preferred Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Business Administration, or a related field.
- Experience with SAP MDG, Oracle MDM, or similar master data management systems.
- Familiarity with data governance frameworks and best practices.
- Experience in the financial services industry.
- Certification in data management or data quality.
