Job Description
We are seeking a dedicated and organized Music Lesson Coordinator with an administrative focus to join our dynamic Music Department. This full-time, on-site role is crucial for the smooth operation and success of our private music lesson program. The coordinator will be responsible for managing student enrollment, instructor scheduling, maintaining accurate administrative records, and serving as a primary point of contact for students, parents, and faculty. This position plays a vital role in ensuring a high-quality educational experience and supporting our mission to deliver exceptional music education to the community.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage the comprehensive registration and enrollment process for all private music lessons offered by the department.
- Coordinate and optimize scheduling between students and a diverse team of qualified music instructors, accommodating various instruments and skill levels.
- Maintain accurate and confidential student records, attendance logs, and progress reports within college systems.
- Serve as the primary point of contact, handling inquiries from students, parents, and instructors regarding lessons, policies, payments, and general program information.
- Process payments and manage financial records related to lesson fees in close coordination with the college's finance department.
- Prepare and distribute lesson schedules, syllabi, instructional materials, and other essential departmental communications.
- Assist with the marketing and promotion of the music lesson program to attract new students and enhance community engagement.
- Provide administrative support to music faculty, including material preparation, event coordination, and general office tasks.
- Ensure strict compliance with all college policies and procedures, including student confidentiality and data protection guidelines.
Required Skills
- Excellent organizational and multitasking abilities, with a proven track record of managing complex schedules and workflows.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills, capable of clear, concise, and professional interactions with diverse stakeholders.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook) and a willingness to quickly learn and adapt to new software and student management systems.

- Basic understanding of music terminology, various musical instruments, and fundamental music education principles.
- Experience with financial record-keeping, billing systems, or payment processing.
