Bright Horizons Family Solutions is seeking a Nanny Assistant / Mother’s Helper for a wonderful family in Lexington, KY. This role is perfect for someone who loves children and is eager to provide an extra set of hands, offering support to a busy household. You’ll assist with childcare duties, light household tasks, and help create a positive and organized environment for the children to thrive. Flexible hours are a key component, making this an ideal position for students, those with other commitments, or individuals seeking to balance work with personal life.
Key Responsibilities
- Engage children in age-appropriate activities, including playtime, arts and crafts, and outdoor play.
- Assist with basic childcare duties such as meal preparation (snacks/light meals), dressing, and tidying play areas.
- Provide a safe, stimulating, and nurturing environment for the children.
- Help with light household tasks related to the children, such as children's laundry, organizing toys, and maintaining tidiness in common areas.
- Support the mother with various tasks as needed, allowing her to focus on other responsibilities or personal time.
- Follow established routines and household guidelines consistently.
- Communicate effectively and openly with parents regarding children's activities and any observations.
- Ensure the children's safety and well-being at all times.
Required Skills
- Genuine love for children and ability to connect with them.
- Reliable, punctual, and trustworthy.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Proactive and able to anticipate needs.
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Ability to adapt to changing schedules and needs.
- CPR and First Aid certification (or willingness to obtain).
Preferred Qualifications
- Previous experience in a childcare setting, babysitting, or as a mother's helper.
- Experience with children of various age groups.
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Clean driving record and reliable transportation.
