Job Description
Are you a passionate gamer with a keen eye for detail and a love for racing? Electronic Arts is looking for dedicated Beta Testers for the next iteration of the iconic Need for Speed series. This is an exciting opportunity to go behind the scenes, test unreleased game features, identify bugs, and provide critical feedback that will directly influence the final product. We’re seeking individuals available for evening shifts who can immerse themselves in the game, push its limits, and help us deliver the ultimate racing experience. Your ‘great tips’ (valuable insights and detailed bug reports) will be highly appreciated and directly contribute to the game’s success.
Key Responsibilities
- Execute test plans and test cases for pre-release versions of Need for Speed.
- Rigorously test game mechanics, vehicle handling, graphics, sound, and overall user experience.
- Identify, document, and report bugs, glitches, and other issues using our tracking software.
- Provide detailed, constructive feedback on gameplay, features, and overall enjoyment.
- Collaborate with game designers and developers to refine the game's quality.
- Participate in evening testing sessions as scheduled, ensuring thorough coverage of new builds.
- Verify bug fixes and regression test previously identified issues.
Required Skills
- Deep passion for video games, especially racing titles.
- Exceptional attention to detail and analytical thinking.
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a structured environment.
- Proficiency in basic computer usage and bug reporting tools (training provided for specific software).
- Availability for evening shifts.
Preferred Qualifications
- Previous experience with beta testing or quality assurance in gaming.
- Familiarity with the Need for Speed franchise.
- Knowledge of various gaming platforms (PC, console).
- Ability to articulate complex technical issues in an understandable manner.
