Job Description
We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Netflix API Integration Technologist to join our dynamic team. This is a crucial technical remote role responsible for designing, developing, and maintaining robust integrations with the Netflix API ecosystem. You will play a key part in enabling innovative solutions and data-driven insights for our clients by leveraging Netflix’s extensive programming interfaces. This position requires deep technical expertise, a strong understanding of API best practices, and a passion for working with cutting-edge streaming technologies. As a remote team member, you will collaborate closely with cross-functional teams, including product managers, software engineers, and data scientists, to deliver high-quality, scalable integration solutions.
Key Responsibilities
- Design, develop, and implement secure, scalable, and high-performance integrations with the Netflix API.
- Collaborate with clients and internal teams to understand requirements and translate them into technical specifications.
- Perform API data extraction, transformation, and loading (ETL) processes to support analytics and reporting.
- Monitor, troubleshoot, and resolve issues related to API integrations and data flows.
- Ensure data integrity and security compliance in all integration efforts.
- Develop and maintain comprehensive documentation for all integration solutions.
- Stay up-to-date with the latest Netflix API changes, streaming technologies, and industry best practices.
- Participate in code reviews, contribute to architectural discussions, and promote best coding standards.
Required Skills
- Proven experience with API integration development (RESTful, GraphQL).
- Strong proficiency in at least one programming language (e.g., Python, Java, Node.js).
- Familiarity with streaming API concepts and data structures.
- Experience with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP) and serverless architectures.
- Solid understanding of data security principles and authentication/authorization protocols (OAuth 2.0).
- Experience with version control systems (Git).
- Excellent problem-solving, analytical, and communication skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a remote, distributed team.
Preferred Qualifications
- Direct experience integrating with entertainment industry APIs (e.g., Netflix, Hulu, Disney+).
- Experience with data pipeline tools and technologies (e.g., Apache Kafka, Apache Spark).
- Knowledge of microservices architecture.
- Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines.
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
