In this exciting role, you will be responsible for transforming existing Netflix content into highly engaging reels, shorts, and other social media-optimized video formats. You will help us capture the essence of our diverse library and connect with new audiences across platforms like TikTok, Instagram Reels, and YouTube Shorts. Key Responsibilities
- Edit captivating short-form video content (reels, shorts, TikToks) from existing Netflix series, films, and documentaries.
- Select compelling and relevant clips that resonate with target audiences and align with current social media trends.
- Incorporate engaging elements such as trending music, sound effects, on-screen text, graphics, and visual effects.
- Ensure all edited content adheres to brand guidelines, legal requirements, and platform-specific best practices.
- Collaborate closely with marketing, social media, and content teams to brainstorm ideas and execute campaigns.
- Stay up-to-date with the latest social media video trends, editing techniques, and platform features to maintain fresh and innovative content.
- Manage and organize video assets, ensuring efficient workflow and timely delivery of projects.
Required Skills
- Proficiency in industry-standard video editing software (e.g., Adobe Premiere Pro, DaVinci Resolve).
- Familiarity with various social media platforms (TikTok, Instagram Reels, YouTube Shorts) and their content requirements.
- Strong understanding of video storytelling, pacing, and visual aesthetics.
- Basic knowledge of graphic design principles and motion graphics.
- Excellent attention to detail and ability to maintain high quality standards under tight deadlines.
- Strong communication and collaborative skills, with the ability to take feedback constructively.
- A portfolio showcasing relevant video editing work, especially short-form content.
Preferred Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Film Production, Media Arts, Communications, Marketing, or a related field.
- Experience with Adobe After Effects or similar motion graphics software.
