Job Description
As a Pharmacy Benefits Manager (PBM) Aide, you will play a crucial support role in the efficient operation of our pharmacy benefits programs. This 100% remote position involves assisting PBM specialists and teams with various administrative tasks, data entry, research, and coordination efforts. You will contribute to ensuring the smooth processing of claims, member inquiries, and provider communications, helping to maintain the high standards of service OptumRx is known for. Key Responsibilities
- Provide administrative support to PBM specialists and account managers.
- Assist with data entry and maintenance of pharmacy claims, member information, and provider networks.
- Conduct basic research on pharmacy benefits, formularies, and industry regulations.
- Prepare and organize reports, presentations, and other documentation.
- Facilitate communication between internal departments, members, and external partners as directed.
- Help resolve basic member or provider inquiries by escalating complex issues to appropriate personnel.
- Maintain strict confidentiality and adherence to all HIPAA and data privacy regulations.
Required Skills
- High school diploma or GED.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook).
- Strong organizational and time management skills.
- Excellent verbal and written communication abilities.
- Ability to work independently in a remote environment.
- Detail-oriented with a high degree of accuracy.
Preferred Qualifications
- Associate's degree or some college coursework.
- Prior administrative or office support experience.
- Familiarity with medical or pharmacy terminology.
