Job Description
We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Pharmacy Technician to join our team in Reno, Nevada. This is an immediate opening with a generous $2,000 sign-on bonus for qualified candidates. As a Pharmacy Technician, you will play a crucial role in assisting our pharmacists, ensuring the efficient operation of the pharmacy, and providing exceptional customer service. Your work will directly contribute to patient care by accurately dispensing medications, managing inventory, and handling patient inquiries. Key Responsibilities
- Accurately and efficiently dispense prescription medications under the direct supervision of a licensed pharmacist.
- Assist patients with prescription drop-off and pick-up, processing payments, and resolving billing issues.
- Manage pharmacy inventory, including ordering, receiving, stocking, and rotating medications.
- Maintain patient profiles, ensuring accurate and up-to-date information.
- Answer telephones and address customer inquiries in a professional and courteous manner.
- Support the pharmacist in maintaining a clean, organized, and compliant pharmacy workspace.
- Adhere to all federal, state, and local pharmacy laws and regulations, as well as company policies.
- Assist with compounding medications as needed, under pharmacist supervision.
Required Skills
- High School Diploma or GED
- Active Nevada Pharmacy Technician license or certification
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment
- Basic computer proficiency
Preferred Qualifications
- 1+ year of experience as a Pharmacy Technician in a retail or hospital setting
- National Pharmacy Technician Certification (CPhT)
- Experience with pharmacy management software
- Bilingual skills (e.g., Spanish, Tagalog)
