Job Description
Join Shiseido Canada, a leader in the global beauty industry, as a Quality Control Inspector. You will play a crucial role in maintaining our high standards of product excellence by conducting thorough visual and physical inspections of beauty products throughout the manufacturing process. This position requires exceptional attention to detail and a commitment to ensuring every product meets our stringent quality specifications before reaching our valued customers.
Key Responsibilities
- Perform detailed visual and physical inspections of incoming raw materials, packaging components, and finished beauty products.
- Identify, categorize, and document any non-conforming materials or defects according to established quality specifications and standards.
- Ensure all products comply with internal quality standards, Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP), and relevant regulatory requirements.
- Maintain accurate and detailed records of all inspection activities, test results, and corrective actions using designated systems.
- Collaborate closely with production, R&D, and other quality teams to address quality issues and implement preventive measures.
- Operate and calibrate basic inspection equipment as needed.
- Assist in investigating customer complaints related to product quality and contribute to root cause analysis.
- Adhere to all safety protocols and maintain a clean and organized work environment.
Required Skills
- Exceptional attention to detail and strong observational skills.
- Ability to follow standard operating procedures and instructions accurately and precisely.
- Basic computer proficiency (e.g., Microsoft Office Suite, data entry systems).
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, for effective documentation and teamwork.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a collaborative team in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.
- Physical ability to stand for extended periods, lift up to 25 lbs, and perform repetitive tasks involving fine motor skills.
Preferred Qualifications
- Previous experience (6+ months) in a quality control or manufacturing environment, preferably in cosmetics, pharmaceuticals, or food industries.
- Familiarity with Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP) and ISO quality systems.
- Post-secondary education (diploma or degree) in a science-related field or quality assurance.
