Job Description

We are seeking a dedicated and empathetic Remote Email Support Agent to join our growing team. This is a 100% text-based role, meaning no phone calls are involved – your primary communication channel will be email. You will be responsible for providing exceptional support to our merchants, helping them navigate our platform, troubleshoot issues, and ensure their success. Ideal candidates are natural problem-solvers with outstanding written communication skills and a passion for helping others.

Key Responsibilities

  • Manage and respond to a high volume of email inquiries from merchants, providing accurate and timely solutions.
  • Diagnose and troubleshoot technical issues related to the Shopify platform, apps, and integrations.
  • Educate merchants on product features, best practices, and new functionalities.
  • Document interactions and solutions thoroughly in our CRM system.
  • Collaborate with internal teams, including product and engineering, to resolve complex issues and provide feedback.
  • Identify trends in merchant inquiries to contribute to knowledge base articles and improve overall support efficiency.
  • Maintain a high level of merchant satisfaction through professional and empathetic communication.

Required Skills

  • Exceptional written communication and grammar skills in English.
  • Strong problem-solving abilities and a keen attention to detail.
  • Ability to work independently and manage time effectively in a remote environment.
  • Proficiency with web browsers, email, and basic computer applications.
  • High level of empathy and a genuine desire to assist others.
  • Ability to learn new software and systems quickly.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Previous experience in a remote customer support role, particularly text-based.
  • Familiarity with e-commerce platforms (e.g., Shopify, BigCommerce, WooCommerce).
  • Experience using CRM software (e.g., Zendesk, Salesforce).
  • Basic understanding of HTML/CSS is a plus.
  • Experience working with a diverse customer base.
