Job Description
Join Pearson, a world leader in educational assessment, as a Remote Standardized Test Scorer. This seasonal, work-from-home opportunity allows you to contribute to the fairness and accuracy of standardized tests from the comfort of your own home. As a Test Scorer, you will apply scoring rubrics and guidelines to evaluate student responses for a variety of standardized tests. This role is perfect for individuals with a keen eye for detail, strong analytical skills, and a commitment to educational equity. We are looking for dedicated professionals holding a degree who are available for seasonal work periods. This is a 100% remote position.
Key Responsibilities
- Apply established scoring rubrics and guidelines consistently and accurately to student responses.
- Evaluate written and selected-response items for various standardized assessments.
- Maintain high levels of scoring reliability and validity throughout the scoring process.
- Participate in ongoing training and calibration sessions to ensure scoring consistency.
- Adhere strictly to all security and confidentiality protocols related to test materials.
- Meet daily production and quality targets.
Required Skills
- Bachelor's degree or higher in any discipline.
- Excellent reading comprehension and analytical skills.
- Strong attention to detail and ability to follow complex instructions precisely.
- Proficient computer skills, including reliable internet access and familiarity with online platforms.
- Ability to work independently and manage time effectively in a remote setting.
- Legal authorization to work in the UK.
Preferred Qualifications
- Previous experience in education, teaching, or assessment.
- Subject-matter expertise in areas such as English Language Arts, Math, Science, or Social Studies.
- Familiarity with standardized testing environments.
