Job Description

We are seeking a highly motivated and customer-focused Retail Banker to join our dynamic team in Cleveland. This is a direct hire opportunity, offering stability and growth within KeyBank, not through a staffing agency. As a Retail Banker, you will be the primary point of contact for our clients, responsible for delivering exceptional service, processing transactions, opening new accounts, and identifying opportunities to offer KeyBank’s products and services that meet our customers’ financial goals. You will play a crucial role in building lasting relationships and contributing to the success of our branch.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide exceptional customer service by handling routine and complex customer transactions accurately and efficiently.
  • Identify customer needs and recommend appropriate banking products and services, including checking, savings, loans, and credit cards.
  • Open new accounts, process loan applications, and manage customer inquiries regarding existing accounts.
  • Educate customers on digital banking solutions and self-service options.
  • Adhere to all banking policies, procedures, and regulatory requirements.
  • Actively participate in branch sales activities and meet individual and team performance goals.
  • Maintain a working knowledge of all KeyBank products, services, and policies.
  • Resolve customer complaints and issues promptly and professionally.
  • Collaborate with branch team members to ensure a cohesive and positive customer experience.

Required Skills

  • Minimum of 2 years of experience in a customer service or sales role, preferably in banking or retail.
  • Proven ability to build and maintain strong customer relationships.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Strong problem-solving abilities and attention to detail.
  • Proficiency in basic computer applications and ability to learn new software quickly.
  • Ability to work effectively in a team-oriented environment.
  • High school diploma or equivalent.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Business, Finance, or a related field.
  • Previous experience as a Teller or Personal Banker.
  • Knowledge of banking regulations and compliance.
