Job Description
Are you a customer-focused individual with a passion for retail and a drive to lead? Target is seeking a dedicated Retail Experience Pro to join our vibrant team. This role is designed for individuals who excel in delivering exceptional guest service, maintaining a well-organized store, and aspire to grow into a leadership position. You will play a crucial role in creating a positive shopping environment while gaining the foundational experience needed to advance to a Team Lead role, contributing to our success through hands-on involvement and demonstrating leadership potential.
Key Responsibilities
- Deliver outstanding guest service by greeting and assisting guests, resolving inquiries, and ensuring a positive shopping experience.
- Support store operations including merchandising, stock replenishment, inventory management, and maintaining store cleanliness standards.
- Operate point-of-sale (POS) systems, handle transactions accurately, and process returns and exchanges efficiently.
- Actively engage with guests to understand their needs and recommend products, driving sales and enhancing guest satisfaction.
- Collaborate with team members to achieve daily sales goals and maintain an organized and appealing store environment.
- Provide guidance and support to newer team members, demonstrating best practices in retail operations and guest service.
- Assist in training new hires on store policies, procedures, and product knowledge, under the supervision of current leaders.
- Monitor store conditions and identify opportunities for improvement in merchandising, signage, and guest flow.
- Adhere to all company policies and procedures, including safety protocols and loss prevention guidelines.
- Take initiative in solving guest issues and escalating complex situations to management when necessary.
- Participate in team meetings and contribute ideas for enhancing store performance and guest experience.
Required Skills
- Minimum 6 months of experience in a retail, customer service, or hospitality environment.
- Excellent verbal communication and interpersonal skills.
- Strong guest focus with a natural ability to build rapport and address needs effectively.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
- Basic computer proficiency and comfort with point-of-sale (POS) systems.
- Ability to work a flexible schedule, including evenings, weekends, and holidays.
- Demonstrated reliability, punctuality, and a strong work ethic.
- Physical ability to stand for extended periods, lift up to 40 pounds, and perform repetitive tasks.
Preferred Qualifications
- Previous experience in a role with lead or supervisory responsibilities.
- Proven ability to mentor or train team members.
- Familiarity with Target's products and services.
- High school diploma or equivalent.
