Job Description
We are seeking a highly analytical and creative Shopify Product Researcher with a strong focus on identifying trending items to join our dynamic e-commerce team. In this remote role, you will be instrumental in discovering new and emerging product opportunities that align with Lululemon’s brand values and market strategy. Your expertise will directly impact our product offerings and contribute to our continuous growth and innovation within the competitive e-commerce landscape.
Key Responsibilities
- Conduct in-depth market research and trend analysis specifically for the Shopify platform to identify high-potential products and niches.
- Utilize various research tools (e.g., Jungle Scout, Helium 10, Google Trends, social media analytics) to identify product gaps, consumer demand, and competitive landscapes.
- Analyze sales data, competitor strategies, and customer feedback to inform product development and sourcing decisions.
- Develop detailed product research reports, including profit margin analysis, supplier identification, and potential marketing angles.
- Stay up-to-date with the latest e-commerce trends, platform updates, and best practices in product research.
- Collaborate closely with product development, marketing, and supply chain teams to ensure seamless integration of new products.
- Present findings and recommendations to stakeholders in a clear and concise manner.
- Assist in the initial stages of product sourcing and supplier communication.
Required Skills
- Proven experience as a Product Researcher, ideally with a focus on Shopify or other e-commerce platforms.
- Strong analytical skills and proficiency in using product research tools.
- Excellent understanding of e-commerce trends, consumer behavior, and market dynamics.
- Ability to identify profitable niches and trending products.
- Proficiency in data analysis and report generation.
- Exceptional communication and and presentation skills.
- Self-motivated with the ability to work independently in a remote environment.
Preferred Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Business, Marketing, E-commerce, or a related field.
- Experience with Google Analytics, SEMrush, or similar marketing/SEO tools.
- Familiarity with various dropshipping and fulfillment models.
- A keen eye for design and product aesthetics.
