Job Description

We are seeking a diligent and detail-oriented Small Paint Project Tasker with a specific focus on doors and trim, to join our team in Islington, London. This part-time, on-site role is perfect for someone who takes pride in precision painting and has experience delivering clean, professional finishes on smaller-scale projects. You will be responsible for preparing surfaces, applying paint, and ensuring impeccable results on various interior doors and trim work within residential and light commercial settings. Key Responsibilities

  • Prepare surfaces for painting, including cleaning, sanding, patching, and masking off areas.
  • Apply paint, primer, and sealers to doors, door frames, skirting boards, architraves, and other trim elements using brushes, rollers, and other appropriate tools.
  • Ensure smooth, even, and consistent coats of paint, free from drips, runs, or brush marks.
  • Protect surrounding areas from paint splatters and damage using drop cloths and masking tape.
  • Perform minor repairs to surfaces as needed before painting.
  • Maintain a clean and organised work area throughout the project duration.
  • Adhere to all safety guidelines and best practices.
  • Communicate effectively with clients and project managers regarding progress and any issues.

Required Skills

  • Proven experience in painting, specifically with a focus on doors and trim.
  • Strong understanding of surface preparation techniques.
  • Proficiency with various painting tools (brushes, rollers, sandpaper, etc.).
  • Excellent attention to detail and a steady hand.
  • Ability to work independently and manage time effectively.
  • Good communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Physical stamina and ability to perform tasks involving standing, bending, and lifting.

Preferred Qualifications
