Job Description
Join Bell Media as a Part-Time Social Media Comment Moderator, working remotely during evening and weekend hours. In this crucial role, you will be responsible for ensuring a positive and safe online environment across our various social media platforms. You will monitor comments, respond to user inquiries, and enforce community guidelines to maintain brand reputation and foster healthy online discussions. This position offers flexibility and is ideal for individuals seeking to contribute to a major media company from the comfort of their home.
Key Responsibilities
- Monitor user-generated content on social media platforms (Facebook, X, Instagram, YouTube, TikTok, etc.) in real-time during assigned evening and weekend shifts.
- Review and moderate comments, messages, and discussions to ensure compliance with community guidelines and company policies.
- Identify and address inappropriate, offensive, or spam content, taking swift action to remove or report as necessary.
- Engage with users positively and professionally, responding to comments and inquiries in a timely manner.
- Escalate complex or sensitive issues to relevant internal teams, such as PR, legal, or customer service.
- Maintain a thorough understanding of current social media trends, platform rules, and moderation best practices.
- Contribute to the ongoing refinement of moderation guidelines and strategies.
Required Skills
- Strong understanding of major social media platforms and their respective cultures.
- Excellent written communication skills in English, with impeccable grammar and spelling.
- Ability to make quick, sound judgments in ambiguous situations.
- High level of integrity and discretion when handling sensitive content.
- Reliable internet connection and a suitable home office environment for remote work.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a distributed team.
- Detail-oriented with strong organizational skills.
Preferred Qualifications
