Job Description
We are seeking a dedicated and efficient Spa Laundry Support team member to join our luxury hotel’s spa operations. This is a critical role ensuring the cleanliness, availability, and proper handling of all spa linens and towels, contributing significantly to the smooth operation of our spa services. This position involves routine, structured tasks with no direct customer interaction, focusing solely on the meticulous management of laundry processes. The ideal candidate will be reliable, organized, and capable of working independently to maintain our high standards of hygiene and presentation.
Key Responsibilities
- Sort, wash, dry, fold, and store all spa linens, towels, robes, and other washable items according to established procedures.
- Operate commercial laundry equipment safely and efficiently, including washers, dryers, and pressing machines.
- Monitor laundry supplies and report needs to supervisor to ensure adequate stock levels.
- Perform routine maintenance and cleaning of laundry equipment and the laundry area.
- Identify and report any damaged or stained linens requiring repair or replacement.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment, adhering to all health and safety guidelines.
- Assist with inventory counts and organization of linen storage areas as needed.
- Ensure timely delivery of clean linens to the spa treatment rooms and common areas.
Required Skills
- Ability to work independently and manage time effectively to complete routine tasks.
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality.
- Physical stamina to stand for extended periods, lift and carry loads up to 50 lbs, and perform repetitive motions.
- Basic understanding of laundry operations and equipment (training provided).
- Adherence to safety protocols and procedures.
- Reliability and punctuality.
Preferred Qualifications
- Previous experience in a laundry or housekeeping role, preferably within a hotel or spa environment.
- Familiarity with commercial laundry machinery.
- High school diploma or equivalent.
