Hilton Garden Inn Torrance is seeking an enthusiastic and service-oriented Student Hospitality Host for morning shifts. This entry-level position is perfect for individuals eager to learn the ropes of hotel operations, guest services, and front-of-house procedures. You will be the first point of contact for our morning guests, ensuring a warm welcome and a smooth start to their day. Key Responsibilities
- Greet guests warmly upon arrival and departure, assisting with luggage if needed.
- Provide accurate information about hotel facilities, services, and local attractions.
- Assist guests with check-in and check-out procedures, ensuring a seamless experience.
- Handle guest inquiries, requests, and minor complaints with professionalism and efficiency.
- Maintain a clean and organized front desk and lobby area.
- Prepare and set up breakfast buffet stations, ensuring food quality and presentation standards are met.
- Replenish food and beverage items during breakfast service.
- Assist with basic administrative tasks as assigned by the Front Office Manager.
- Collaborate with other hotel departments to ensure guest satisfaction.
- Adhere to all hotel policies, safety guidelines, and brand standards.
Required Skills
- Excellent verbal communication skills.

- Strong work ethic and reliability, especially for early morning shifts.
- Ability to multitask and work effectively in a busy environment.
- Basic computer proficiency.
- Must be currently enrolled in a high school or post-secondary education program.
- Ability to stand for extended periods and lift up to 25 pounds.

- Previous customer service experience (e.g., retail, food service).
