Job Description

Amazon Logistics in Wesley Chapel, FL is seeking an enthusiastic and reliable Student Warehouse Lead. In this role, you will play a crucial part in overseeing daily warehouse operations, ensuring efficiency, and maintaining our high standards of safety and productivity. Key Responsibilities
- Assist in the supervision and coordination of warehouse activities, including receiving, sorting, packing, and shipping.
- Monitor workflow and ensure adherence to operational procedures and safety guidelines.
- Train and mentor new student associates, fostering a positive and productive team environment.
- Help manage inventory, conduct cycle counts, and report discrepancies.
- Operate warehouse equipment (e.g., pallet jacks, hand trucks) safely and efficiently after proper training.
- Communicate effectively with management and team members regarding operational updates and challenges.
- Identify and implement process improvements to enhance efficiency and reduce errors.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area.
Required Skills
- Currently enrolled in a college or university program.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Excellent organizational and time management abilities.
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, physically demanding environment.
- Demonstrated problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
- Ability to lift and move packages up to 49 lbs with or without reasonable accommodation.
Preferred Qualifications
- Previous experience in a warehouse, retail, or fast-paced work environment (even part-time).
- Experience in a leadership role, such as a team lead, club officer, or project manager.
- Basic computer proficiency for data entry and inventory management.
- Certification in operating powered industrial trucks (e.g., forklift, reach truck) is a plus, but not required for hire.
