Key Responsibilities
- Lead, mentor, and motivate a team of picking associates to achieve daily operational goals.
- Monitor team performance, identify areas for improvement, and implement solutions.
- Ensure adherence to all safety protocols and company policies within the picking area.
- Conduct regular quality checks to maintain accuracy in item selection and preparation.
- Assist in the training and onboarding of new team members, fostering a supportive learning environment.
- Manage and resolve day-to-day operational issues and escalate complex problems as necessary.
- Operate warehouse equipment safely and efficiently when required, following all training guidelines.
- Contribute to process improvement initiatives to enhance picking efficiency and reduce errors.
Required Skills
- Minimum of 2 years of experience in a warehouse, logistics, or similar operational environment.
- Proven leadership or supervisory experience within a team setting.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to motivate and guide others.
- Strong attention to detail and a commitment to accuracy.
- Ability to stand for extended periods, walk long distances, and lift/move packages up to 23 kg (50 lbs) regularly.
- Basic computer proficiency for data entry and system navigation.
- Problem-solving capabilities and a proactive approach to challenges.
- Flexibility to work various shifts, including weekends and holidays, as per operational needs.
Preferred Qualifications
- Previous experience with warehouse management systems (WMS).
- Familiarity with lean manufacturing principles or continuous improvement methodologies.
- Certification in operating warehouse equipment (e.g., forklift, reach truck).
- Experience in a fast-paced e-commerce or retail fulfillment environment.
