Job Description
Are you passionate about thrifting, have an eye for detail, and want to contribute to a meaningful cause? Goodwill Industries of Eastern NC is seeking enthusiastic and discreet Secret Shoppers to help us maintain and improve the quality of our retail experience. As a Secret Shopper, you will visit various Goodwill retail locations in Raleigh, posing as a regular customer, to evaluate store presentation, customer service, merchandise quality, and overall shopping environment. Your observations will provide invaluable feedback to enhance our operations and ensure we continue to serve our community effectively. Key Responsibilities
- Conduct unannounced visits to designated Goodwill retail stores within the Raleigh area.
- Evaluate the store's cleanliness, organization, merchandise display, and pricing accuracy.
- Assess the quality of customer service, including staff demeanor, helpfulness, and adherence to company standards.
- Observe and report on the overall shopping experience, including ease of navigation and checkout process.
- Complete detailed evaluation reports accurately and promptly after each visit.
- Maintain strict confidentiality regarding all assignments and findings.
- Provide constructive and objective feedback to aid in continuous improvement initiatives.
- Adhere to all company guidelines and ethical standards during shopping visits.
Required Skills
- Exceptional observational skills and attention to detail.
- Strong written and verbal communication abilities.
- High level of discretion and ability to remain anonymous during visits.
- Ability to follow instructions meticulously and complete tasks independently.
- Reliable transportation and willingness to travel to various store locations within Raleigh.
- Proficiency in using digital platforms for report submission.
- A genuine interest in thrift shopping and community service.
Preferred Qualifications
- Previous experience in mystery shopping, retail evaluation, or quality assurance.
- Familiarity with Goodwill's mission and operations.
- Flexible schedule to accommodate varying store hours.
- An Associate's degree or equivalent experience in a related field.
