Job Description

We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Shopify Specialist to join our dynamic e-commerce team in Cochrane. The successful candidate will be instrumental in managing, optimizing, and enhancing our Shopify stores, ensuring a seamless and engaging online shopping experience for our customers. This role requires a blend of technical expertise, creative problem-solving, and a passion for e-commerce. You will be responsible for implementing new features, maintaining product catalogs, optimizing site performance, and supporting marketing initiatives to drive online sales and customer satisfaction. This is an on-site position offering full health and dental benefits.

Key Responsibilities

  • Manage and maintain multiple Shopify stores, including product listings, collections, pages, and navigation.
  • Implement and configure new Shopify apps and features to enhance store functionality and user experience.
  • Perform front-end updates and customizations using HTML, CSS, and Liquid to align with brand guidelines.
  • Monitor website performance, conduct A/B testing, and implement SEO best practices to improve search rankings and conversion rates.
  • Collaborate with marketing, sales, and IT teams to launch new products, promotions, and campaigns.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve any technical issues related to the Shopify platform or integrated third-party applications.
  • Ensure data accuracy and consistency across all e-commerce platforms.
  • Stay up-to-date with Shopify updates, e-commerce trends, and industry best practices.

Required Skills

  • 3+ years of hands-on experience with the Shopify platform (Shopify Plus experience is a strong asset).
  • Proficiency in HTML, CSS, and Liquid templating language.
  • Strong understanding of e-commerce principles, UX/UI best practices, and conversion optimization.
  • Experience with Google Analytics, Google Tag Manager, and other e-commerce analytics tools.
  • Demonstrated ability to manage multiple projects, prioritize tasks, and meet deadlines.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
  • Experience with JavaScript and jQuery.
  • Knowledge of SEO strategies and implementation.
  • Familiarity with graphic design tools (e.g., Adobe Photoshop, Figma) for basic image editing.
  • Shopify certifications or relevant e-commerce training.
  • Experience working in a large retail or e-commerce environment.
