Job Description
We are seeking a compassionate, experienced, and highly discreet Live-in Caregiver Aide for a prestigious private estate located in the breathtaking landscape of Banff, Alberta. This unique opportunity offers a live-in arrangement with room and board provided, ideal for an individual dedicated to providing personalized care and support. The successful candidate will work closely with a private individual, ensuring their comfort, well-being, and a high quality of life within a respectful and supportive home environment. This role requires a professional with a gentle demeanor, strong organizational skills, and an unwavering commitment to dignity and independence.
Key Responsibilities
- Assist with daily personal care, including bathing, dressing, grooming, and mobility.
- Administer medication reminders and monitor vital signs as needed.
- Prepare and serve nutritious meals, adhering to dietary restrictions and preferences.
- Perform light housekeeping duties, ensuring a clean and comfortable living space.
- Provide companionship and engage in stimulating activities, such as reading, walks, or hobbies.
- Accompany the individual to appointments and social outings as required.
- Manage household errands and grocery shopping.
- Maintain detailed records of care provided and communicate effectively with family or medical professionals.
- Ensure a safe and secure environment, identifying and addressing potential hazards.
- Offer emotional support and foster a positive atmosphere.
Required Skills
- Minimum of 1 year of professional caregiving experience.
- Proven ability to provide compassionate and respectful personal care.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- High level of discretion, professionalism, and integrity.
- Ability to manage time effectively and work independently.
- Valid driver's license and clean driving record.
- Legal eligibility to work in Canada.
Preferred Qualifications
- Certification as a Health Care Aide (HCA) or equivalent.
- First Aid and CPR certification.
- Experience working in a private home or luxury setting.
- Proficiency in a second language.
- Knowledge of dietary planning and healthy meal preparation.
