Job Description
We are seeking a diligent and detail-oriented Grocery Stocking Auditor to join our night replenishment team. In this critical role, you will be responsible for meticulously auditing the accuracy and efficiency of our night stocking operations, ensuring that shelves are properly stocked, products are correctly faced, and inventory counts align with system records. This position demands a keen eye for detail, a proactive approach to problem-solving, and the ability to work independently during overnight hours to maintain our high standards of store readiness for our customers.
Key Responsibilities
- Conduct thorough audits of stocked shelves to verify product placement, quantity, and facing standards.
- Compare physical stock on shelves and in backrooms with inventory management system data to identify discrepancies.
- Document and report any stocking errors, missing items, or product damage found during audits.
- Monitor night replenishment team's adherence to company stocking procedures and safety guidelines.
- Provide constructive feedback to night leads and managers regarding stocking performance and areas for improvement.
- Assist in training new night stocking team members on proper auditing and replenishment techniques.
- Ensure all products are rotated according to FIFO (First-In, First-Out) principles during audits.
- Maintain a clean and organized work environment.
- Adhere to all company policies and procedures, including those related to safety and food handling.
Required Skills
- Proven ability to work independently with minimal supervision during night shifts.
- Exceptional attention to detail and accuracy.
- Basic computer proficiency for data entry and inventory system navigation.
- Strong communication skills, both written and verbal.
- Ability to lift and carry up to 50 lbs regularly and stand for extended periods.
- Reliable transportation and ability to adhere to a consistent night work schedule.
- High school diploma or equivalent.
Preferred Qualifications
- Previous experience in grocery retail, inventory management, or auditing roles.
- Familiarity with inventory control systems and handheld scanning devices.
- Knowledge of grocery product categories and stocking best practices.
