Job Description
Are you passionate about home entertainment and love getting hands-on with the latest tech? Best Buy Canada is looking for a detail-oriented and customer-focused TV & Audio Setup Tasker to join our dedicated team. In this role, you will be responsible for the professional installation, setup, and troubleshooting of televisions, sound systems, and other home entertainment devices in customers’ homes. This position requires strong technical aptitude, excellent problem-solving skills, and a commitment to delivering outstanding customer service. Key Responsibilities
- Perform on-site installation and setup of TVs, home theatre systems, soundbars, and other audio/video equipment.
- Mount televisions securely on various wall types, ensuring proper leveling and cable management.
- Connect and configure all associated components, including media players, gaming consoles, and streaming devices.
- Calibrate audio and video settings to optimize performance based on customer preferences and room acoustics.
- Educate customers on the operation of their new home entertainment systems and answer any questions.
- Troubleshoot and resolve technical issues related to installation or device functionality.
- Maintain accurate records of services performed and equipment installed.
- Adhere to all safety protocols and company standards during installations.
- Provide exceptional customer service, ensuring a positive and professional experience.
- Keep up-to-date with new product releases and installation best practices.
Required Skills
- Proven ability to install and set up home entertainment systems, including TVs and audio equipment.
- Familiarity with various mounting techniques and tools for TVs (e.g., drywall, studs, brick).
- Basic knowledge of audio/video connectivity, including HDMI, optical, and wireless technologies.
- Excellent problem-solving and troubleshooting skills.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills for customer interaction.
- Ability to work independently and manage time effectively.
- Physical ability to lift and maneuver heavy equipment (e.g., large TVs, speaker systems).
- Valid Class 5 driver's license and a clean driving record.
Preferred Qualifications
- Previous experience in a customer service or field service role.
- Certifications in audio/video installation or related fields.
- Experience with smart home integration and network connectivity.
