Key Responsibilities
- Assist certified paramedics in responding to on-site medical emergencies and providing immediate care to injured or ill employees.
- Learn and apply advanced first aid techniques, CPR, and other life-saving measures as required.
- Support the coordination of emergency services, including contacting external medical facilities when necessary.
- Maintain and inspect medical equipment, ensuring all supplies are readily available and in good working order.
- Participate in safety drills, training sessions, and emergency preparedness exercises.
- Document incidents accurately, maintaining confidentiality and adhering to company and regulatory standards.
- Collaborate with the safety team to identify potential hazards and implement preventive safety measures.
- Educate employees on basic health and safety practices and emergency procedures.
Required Skills
- High School Diploma or GED.
- Current EMT-Basic certification or actively enrolled in an accredited EMT program with imminent certification.
- Valid state Driver's License with a clean driving record.
- Ability to lift and move up to 75 pounds unassisted.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to remain calm under pressure.
- Strong commitment to safety protocols and procedures.
- Basic computer proficiency for documentation and record-keeping.
Preferred Qualifications
- Paramedic certification (or actively pursuing).
- Previous experience in an industrial, occupational health, or emergency setting (volunteer experience welcome).
- Knowledge of OSHA regulations and workplace safety standards.
- Bilingual proficiency (English/Spanish).
- Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) or Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) certifications.
