Job Description

JPMorgan Chase & Co. is seeking a dedicated and vigilant Part-time Corporate Security Officer to join our team in St. George, Utah. This critical role focuses on ensuring the safety and security of our premises, personnel, and assets during non-standard hours, specifically focusing on weekend and weekday evening shifts. The ideal candidate will possess a strong sense of responsibility, excellent observation skills, and the ability to respond effectively to security incidents. You will be an integral part of maintaining a secure environment, protecting our valuable resources, and upholding the professional image of JPMorgan Chase & Co.

Key Responsibilities

• Patrol premises regularly to maintain order and establish presence, preventing and detecting signs of intrusion and ensuring security of doors, windows, and gates.
• Monitor surveillance cameras and alarm systems to identify and address security breaches or suspicious activities.
• Respond promptly and effectively to emergencies, security incidents, and alarms, following established protocols.
• Document and report all security incidents, irregularities, and suspicious occurrences in detail.
• Enforce company security policies and procedures consistently and professionally.
• Provide assistance to employees and visitors in a courteous and helpful manner, offering directions and controlling access.
• Conduct thorough investigations into security incidents as required and assist law enforcement when necessary.
• Operate and maintain security equipment, ensuring functionality and readiness.
• Collaborate with internal teams and external agencies to enhance overall security measures.

Required Skills

• Proven experience as a security officer or in a similar role (1+ year preferred)
• Knowledge of security protocols and procedures
• Excellent surveillance and observation skills
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills
• Ability to operate security equipment and systems
• High level of integrity and professionalism
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
• Basic computer proficiency for report writing and system monitoring
• Must be able to work weekend shifts and weekday evenings as scheduled.

Preferred Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent; higher education in criminal justice or a related field is a plus.
• Security certification (e.g., Guard Card, CPR/First Aid certification).
• Experience in corporate or financial institution security.
• Familiarity with local laws and regulations pertaining to security operations.
• Ability to handle stressful situations calmly and effectively.
