Job Description

We are seeking an enthusiastic and highly energetic Wellness Screening Nurse to join our community outreach team. This part-time role focuses on delivering high-quality health screenings and wellness education at various corporate events throughout the Tri-Cities area. The ideal candidate will be a registered nurse with excellent interpersonal skills, a proactive attitude, and a passion for promoting health and well-being in a dynamic, event-based setting. You will be instrumental in providing essential health assessments, offering valuable health insights, and ensuring a positive and engaging experience for all participants.

Key Responsibilities

  • Conduct various health screenings including blood pressure, cholesterol, glucose, and body mass index measurements at corporate wellness events.
  • Provide basic health education and counseling to participants regarding their screening results and general wellness practices.
  • Operate and maintain screening equipment, ensuring accuracy and proper calibration.
  • Maintain detailed and accurate records of screenings and participant data, ensuring confidentiality and compliance with HIPAA.
  • Engage actively with participants, creating a welcoming and informative environment.
  • Collaborate with event coordinators and other team members to ensure smooth event execution.
  • Adhere to all Kadlec Regional Medical Center policies, procedures, and professional nursing standards.
  • Assist with event setup and breakdown as needed.

Required Skills

  • Current unencumbered Registered Nurse (RN) license in the State of Washington.
  • Minimum 1 year of clinical nursing experience.
  • Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Demonstrated ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • Proficiency in conducting health screenings and basic health assessments.
  • Ability to maintain a high level of energy and enthusiasm throughout events.
  • Valid driver's license and reliable transportation.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience in corporate wellness, community health, or occupational health.
  • Certifications in basic life support (BLS) and advanced cardiac life support (ACLS).
  • Experience with electronic health record (EHR) systems.
  • Proficiency in a second language, particularly Spanish.
