Job Description
As a Senior Retail Banker at Chase in Shawnee, Kansas, you will be a pivotal member of our branch team, responsible for delivering exceptional financial service and advice to our clients. This role is designed for an experienced banking professional who is passionate about building lasting customer relationships and driving business growth through a consultative approach. You will handle complex client needs, from personal banking and lending to investment referrals, ensuring a top-tier service experience. Your expertise in financial products and services will enable you to guide clients towards the best solutions for their financial well-being, contributing significantly to the branch’s success and our community presence. Key Responsibilities
- Manage a portfolio of high-value client relationships, providing personalized financial advice and solutions.
- Identify client needs and proactively offer relevant banking products and services, including deposit accounts, loans, credit cards, and investment referrals.
- Process complex banking transactions accurately and efficiently, ensuring compliance with all regulatory guidelines.
- Coach and mentor junior bankers, sharing best practices and contributing to team development.
- Resolve complex customer inquiries and complaints with professionalism and a focus on customer satisfaction.
- Actively participate in branch sales meetings, contributing to strategic planning and goal attainment.
- Maintain a deep understanding of banking products, services, and market trends to provide expert advice.
- Adhere to all operational policies, risk management protocols, and ethical standards.
Required Skills
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in retail banking, personal banking, or financial services.
- Proven track record of success in sales, client relationship management, and achieving financial targets.
- Strong knowledge of banking products and services, including checking, savings, lending, and investment basics.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to build rapport quickly.
- Demonstrated ability to handle complex client situations and problem-solve effectively.
- Proficiency in banking software and Microsoft Office Suite.
- NMLS registration or willingness to obtain upon hire.
Preferred Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Finance, Business Administration, or a related field.
- Prior experience in a senior or leadership role within a retail banking environment.
- Familiarity with local market dynamics and community engagement.
- Series 6/7 and 63/65 (or 66) licenses (not mandatory for the core role but a strong plus for referrals).
