As a Salon Assistant, you will play a crucial role in ensuring our clients have an exceptional experience from the moment they walk through our doors. You will provide essential support to our stylists, keeping the salon running smoothly and contributing to our reputation for outstanding service. This position is On-site.
Key Responsibilities
- Greet clients warmly and assist with check-in/check-out procedures.
- Perform professional shampooing and conditioning treatments with attention to client comfort.
- Assist stylists with blowouts, basic styling, and preparing clients for their services.
- Maintain the highest standards of cleanliness and organization throughout the salon, including workstations, shampoo bowls, and styling areas.
- Prepare and sanitize salon equipment and tools diligently.
- Manage laundry services for towels, capes, and other salon linens.
- Provide excellent customer service, anticipating client needs and ensuring their comfort.
- Support stylists with various tasks as needed to ensure efficient and smooth salon operations.
Required Skills
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills to interact effectively with clients and team members.
- Ability to work efficiently and effectively in a fast-paced, high-energy salon environment.
- Exceptional attention to detail, particularly regarding cleanliness and client comfort.
- A basic understanding of hair care products and techniques is beneficial.
- Friendly, positive, and genuinely customer-service oriented demeanor.
- Physical ability to stand for extended periods, bend, lift, and perform other physical tasks associated with salon work.
Preferred Qualifications
- High School Diploma or GED is preferred.
- Previous experience in a salon setting or a customer service role is a plus.
- Currently enrolled in a cosmetology program or a recent graduate is highly advantageous.
