Job Description
Join the XPO Logistics team in New Port Richey as a Freight Handler, focusing on morning shifts. As a Freight Handler, you will be responsible for loading and unloading freight, moving materials within the warehouse, and ensuring all shipments are handled safely and efficiently. Key Responsibilities
- Efficiently load and unload freight by hand or by using equipment such as forklifts, pallet jacks, and hand trucks.
- Sort, stack, and organize freight in designated areas within the warehouse.
- Verify count and condition of freight and accurately record discrepancies.
- Operate equipment in a safe and responsible manner.
- Maintain a clean and organized work environment.
- Adhere to all safety protocols and company policies.
- Collaborate with team members to ensure smooth operation flow.
Required Skills
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs regularly and perform physical tasks.
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
- Reliable transportation and punctuality.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Basic understanding of warehouse operations (training provided).
Preferred Qualifications
- Previous experience in a warehouse or freight handling role.
