Job Description
We are seeking a highly creative and strategic Remote Instagram Manager with a keen focus on enhancing Google Brand Awareness. In this 100% remote role, you will be responsible for developing and executing Instagram strategies that not only drive engagement and growth on the platform but also significantly contribute to our brand’s visibility and discoverability across Google’s ecosystem. You will be instrumental in crafting compelling visual narratives, optimizing content for search performance, and analyzing trends to keep Netflix at the forefront of digital culture and search relevance. This role requires an individual who is deeply passionate about social media, brand storytelling, and understanding the intricate relationship between Instagram content and broader Google search and discovery initiatives.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and implement comprehensive Instagram content strategies aligned with overall brand marketing objectives and Google search trends.
- Manage the end-to-end content creation process for Instagram, including ideation, copywriting, visual asset coordination, and scheduling.
- Optimize Instagram content (captions, hashtags, alt text, Reels descriptions) for discoverability on Google Search and other Google properties.
- Monitor and analyze Instagram performance metrics, providing regular reports and actionable insights to improve engagement and brand awareness on Google.
- Stay current with Instagram features, trends, algorithm changes, and best practices, especially concerning their impact on search visibility.
- Collaborate with SEO, content marketing, and brand teams to ensure a cohesive brand message and integrated digital strategy.
- Engage with our community, respond to comments and DMs, and foster a positive brand image.
- Identify and explore opportunities for Instagram content to be featured or indexed by Google, such as through rich snippets or Google Discover.
- Manage Instagram advertising campaigns to boost reach and brand recall, tracking Google Analytics data for campaign effectiveness.
Required Skills
- 3+ years of experience managing Instagram accounts for a major brand or agency.
- Proven track record of increasing engagement and follower growth on Instagram.
- Strong understanding of Instagram's algorithm and best practices for content optimization.
- Demonstrated knowledge of SEO principles and how social media impacts search engine rankings and brand visibility on Google.
- Excellent copywriting, editing, and verbal communication skills.
- Proficiency with Instagram analytics tools and social media management platforms.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced, remote environment.
- Creative mindset with an eye for compelling visual content.
Preferred Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Communications, or a related field.
- Experience with Google Analytics and Google Search Console.
- Familiarity with graphic design tools (e.g., Canva, Adobe Creative Suite).
- Experience in the entertainment or media industry.
