Job Description
We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Diversity & Inclusion Assistant with an HR focus to join our dynamic team. This remote role is crucial in supporting Microsoft’s ongoing initiatives to foster a more inclusive and equitable workplace. The ideal candidate will be passionate about diversity, equity, and inclusion, possess strong organizational skills, and be adept at handling administrative tasks within a human resources context. You will play a vital role in coordinating D&I programs, managing data, and supporting communication efforts that reinforce our commitment to diversity.
Key Responsibilities
- Assist in the coordination and execution of Diversity & Inclusion programs, events, and training sessions.
- Manage D&I-related data, including tracking metrics, preparing reports, and maintaining accurate records.
- Provide administrative support to the D&I and HR teams, including calendar management, scheduling meetings, and preparing presentations.
- Conduct research on best practices in diversity, equity, and inclusion, and provide insights to inform strategic initiatives.
- Support internal and external communication efforts related to D&I, including drafting announcements, newsletters, and social media content.
- Liaise with internal stakeholders and external partners to ensure smooth execution of D&I initiatives.
- Handle sensitive information with discretion and maintain strict confidentiality.
- Contribute to a positive and inclusive team environment, supporting colleagues and fostering collaboration.
Required Skills
- Strong passion for Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion (DEI) principles.
- Excellent organizational and time management skills with the ability to prioritize tasks effectively.
- Exceptional written and verbal communication skills.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook).
- High level of attention to detail and accuracy in all work.
- Ability to work independently in a remote environment while maintaining strong team collaboration.
- Demonstrated ability to handle confidential and sensitive information with integrity.
Preferred Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, Sociology, or a related field.
- Previous administrative or assistant experience, preferably within an HR department or in a D&I-focused role.
- Familiarity with HR information systems (HRIS) or D&I platforms.
- Experience in data analysis and reporting.
