Job Description

We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Junior Downstream Operations Clerk to join our team in Arlington Heights, IL. This entry-level position is ideal for an individual looking to start a career in the stable and essential chemical distribution industry. The successful candidate will provide crucial administrative and operational support to our downstream logistics and supply chain functions, ensuring smooth product flow from our facilities to our customers. Key Responsibilities

  • Assist with data entry, documentation, and record-keeping related to product shipments, inventory, and order fulfillment.
  • Support the coordination of logistics activities, including scheduling deliveries and pickups, and tracking shipments.
  • Communicate effectively with internal teams (sales, warehousing, transportation) and external partners (carriers, suppliers).
  • Prepare and process various operational reports, invoices, and other necessary paperwork.
  • Ensure compliance with company policies, safety regulations, and industry standards.
  • Handle inquiries and resolve minor operational issues, escalating complex problems to senior staff.
  • Maintain organized physical and digital files for all operational documents.
  • Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives within the operations department.

Required Skills

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook).
