Job Description
We are seeking an experienced and dedicated EA Sports FC Playtest Lead with a strong management focus to join our dynamic team. In this pivotal role, you will be responsible for overseeing all aspects of playtesting for EA Sports FC titles, ensuring the highest quality and player experience. You will lead a team of playtesters, manage schedules, analyze data, and provide comprehensive feedback to development teams. This role requires a blend of hands-on playtesting knowledge, strong leadership abilities, and a strategic mindset to drive continuous improvement in our game development pipeline. Key Responsibilities
- Lead, mentor, and manage a team of playtesters, fostering a collaborative and productive environment.
- Develop and execute comprehensive playtest plans and strategies for EA Sports FC titles.
- Schedule and coordinate playtest sessions, ensuring efficient use of resources and time.
- Oversee the collection, analysis, and interpretation of playtest data and player feedback.
- Generate detailed reports and presentations summarizing playtest findings, bugs, and usability issues for development teams.
- Collaborate closely with game designers, producers, and engineers to identify and address gameplay issues and opportunities for improvement.
- Train new playtesters on game mechanics, testing protocols, and feedback reporting standards.
- Contribute to the continuous improvement of playtesting methodologies and tools.
- Ensure adherence to project timelines and quality standards across all playtesting activities.
Required Skills
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in quality assurance, game testing, or playtesting within the video game industry.
- Proven leadership experience, including managing and mentoring a team.
- Deep understanding and passion for EA Sports FC or similar football simulation games.
- Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret complex data and player feedback.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, capable of presenting findings clearly and concisely.
- Proficiency with bug tracking software (e.g., JIRA, Bugzilla) and project management tools.
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, collaborative team environment.
Preferred Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Game Design, Computer Science, or a related field.
- Experience with various gaming platforms (console, PC, mobile).
- Familiarity with game development cycles and methodologies (Agile, Waterfall).
- Previous experience as a lead or senior QA tester/playtester for a major gaming title.
- Knowledge of scripting or data visualization tools.
