Job Description
We are seeking enthusiastic and customer-focused individuals to join our team as Weekend Event Ushers. In this vital part-time role, you will be at the forefront of guest experience, ensuring all visitors to Dickies Arena enjoy a safe, comfortable, and memorable time at our diverse range of stadium and theatre events. You will be responsible for guiding guests, enforcing venue policies, and providing outstanding service in a dynamic and exciting environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Warmly greet and welcome all guests entering the venue.
- Efficiently direct guests to their assigned seats, restrooms, concessions, and other venue amenities.
- Verify tickets and credentials for entry into designated areas.
- Proactively assist guests with any inquiries, concerns, or special needs, providing accurate information.
- Monitor assigned sections for adherence to venue policies, ensuring a safe and comfortable environment for all attendees.
- Respond promptly and effectively to guest issues, resolving minor conflicts or escalating as necessary to management.
- Be vigilant for potential safety hazards or security concerns and report them immediately.
- Provide assistance during emergencies, including crowd control and evacuation procedures, as directed by event management.
- Maintain a professional appearance and demeanor at all times.
Required Skills
- Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills, with a friendly and approachable attitude.
- Demonstrated commitment to providing outstanding customer service.
- Ability to stand, walk, and climb stairs for extended periods during events.
- Strong problem-solving abilities and the capacity to remain calm under pressure.
- High level of reliability, punctuality, and a strong work ethic.
- Flexibility to work weekends, evenings, and holidays as required by the event schedule.
- Must be at least 18 years old.
Preferred Qualifications
- Prior experience in a customer service, hospitality, or event-based role.
- Familiarity with the layout and operations of large event venues, stadiums, or theatres.
- Bilingual proficiency (English/Spanish) is a plus.
