Job Description
We are seeking dedicated and detail-oriented individuals to join our Teleperformance team as Healthcare Support Specialists with a focus on Medical Billing. This is a 100% remote (Work From Home) position, offering you the flexibility to contribute to vital healthcare operations from the comfort of your home office. You will be responsible for handling a variety of inbound and outbound calls, resolving medical billing inquiries, and providing exceptional support to patients and healthcare providers. The ideal candidate will possess strong communication skills, an understanding of medical billing processes, and a passion for helping others navigate their healthcare journey.
Key Responsibilities
- Respond to patient and provider inquiries regarding medical bills, insurance claims, and payment arrangements.
- Review and analyze patient accounts to identify billing discrepancies and resolve issues efficiently.
- Process payments, issue refunds, and manage account adjustments in compliance with company policies and healthcare regulations.
- Document all interactions and transactions accurately in the designated systems.
- Collaborate with insurance companies and healthcare facilities to obtain necessary information for claim resolution.
- Maintain a high level of confidentiality regarding patient information and adhere to HIPAA guidelines.
- Provide clear, concise, and empathetic communication to all callers.
Required Skills
- Minimum of 1 year of experience in a customer service role, preferably in a call center environment.
- Proficiency in navigating computer systems and multiple applications simultaneously.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills.
- Ability to work independently in a remote setting with minimal supervision.
- Excellent problem-solving and critical-thinking abilities.
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Reliable high-speed internet connection and a quiet home office environment.
Preferred Qualifications
- Previous experience in medical billing, healthcare administration, or a related field.
- Familiarity with medical terminology and common billing codes (ICD-10, CPT).
- Associate's or Bachelor's degree in healthcare administration or a related field.
- Experience working in a remote or work-from-home capacity.
