Job Description
We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Dietary Aide to join our kitchen team in Henderson, NV. This full-time, on-site role focuses on supporting our culinary staff in preparing and serving nutritious, appealing meals to our residents during daytime hours. Key Responsibilities
- Assist in the preparation and serving of meals and snacks according to established menus and dietary guidelines.
- Distribute meals to residents in the dining room and, when necessary, to individual rooms.
- Ensure proper portion control and presentation of food.
- Adhere to all food safety, sanitation, and hygiene regulations.
- Clean and sanitize kitchen equipment, utensils, dishes, and work areas.
- Assist with inventory management, including stocking supplies and proper storage of food items.
- Communicate effectively with kitchen staff, nursing staff, and residents regarding dietary needs and preferences.
- Assist residents with menu choices or special requests as needed.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe working environment.
Required Skills
- Ability to follow verbal and written instructions accurately.
- Basic understanding of food safety and sanitation principles.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work effectively as part of a team.
- Reliability and punctuality are essential.
- Physical ability to stand for extended periods, lift up to 25 lbs, and perform repetitive tasks.
Preferred Qualifications
- Prior experience in food service, especially in a healthcare or senior living setting.
- High school diploma or GED.
- Current Food Handler's Card (or ability to obtain one upon hire).
