Job Description
Join Amazon’s dynamic team as an Entry Level Midstream Sorter in our Pasco warehouse and shipping facility. This role is crucial to our operations, ensuring that packages are sorted accurately and efficiently to meet delivery deadlines. You will be an integral part of our logistics network, contributing to the seamless flow of goods from our facilities to customers’ doorsteps. Key Responsibilities
- Accurately sort packages and products according to destination and shipping method.
- Scan packages and update system records using handheld devices.
- Load and unload packages from conveyor belts, carts, and trucks.
- Inspect packages for damage and report any issues to supervisors.
- Maintain a clean and organized work area to ensure safety and efficiency.
- Adhere to all safety protocols and operational procedures.
- Collaborate with team members to achieve daily production goals.
Required Skills
- Ability to lift and carry packages weighing up to 49 lbs.
- Ability to stand and walk for extended periods.
- Good hand-eye coordination and attention to detail.
- Reliable and punctual with a strong work ethic.
- Basic understanding of English for safety instructions and communication.
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
Preferred Qualifications
- High School Diploma or GED.
- Previous experience in a warehouse, production, or similar physical labor environment.
- Experience with handheld scanning devices.
- Ability to work flexible shifts, including evenings, weekends, and holidays.
