Job Description
We are seeking an experienced and dynamic Music School Operations Manager to join our leadership team. This pivotal role is responsible for overseeing the daily administrative and operational functions of the Academy, ensuring smooth and efficient delivery of our music programs. The ideal candidate will be a highly organized, proactive leader with a strong passion for music education and a proven track record in operational management. You will play a critical role in supporting our faculty, engaging with students and parents, and contributing to the overall success and growth of the Academy.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage daily administrative operations, including scheduling, student registration, and facility management.
- Oversee staff scheduling, payroll coordination, and administrative support for faculty members.
- Develop and implement operational policies and procedures to enhance efficiency and service quality.
- Manage student enrollment, attendance records, and tuition billing processes.
- Coordinate and support school events, recitals, workshops, and performances.
- Handle parent and student inquiries, ensuring excellent customer service and communication.
- Maintain inventory of musical instruments, equipment, and supplies.
- Collaborate with the Artistic Director on program development and strategic planning.
- Ensure compliance with health, safety, and operational regulations.
- Prepare regular operational reports for the leadership team.
Required Skills
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in operations management, preferably in an educational or arts organization.
- Proven leadership and team management abilities.
- Exceptional organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills.
- Proficiency in office software (MS Office Suite, Google Workspace) and database management.
- Ability to manage budgets and resources effectively.
- Excellent problem-solving and decision-making capabilities.
- Passion for music education and the performing arts.
Preferred Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Arts Management, Music Education, or a related field.
- Experience with student information systems or CRM software.
- Familiarity with local arts and music communities in San Antonio.
- Basic knowledge of music theory or instrumental proficiency.
